This aromatic beauty brings a touch of tranquility and a soothing scent to your indoor sanctuary.

Why will I love it?

Lavender (Lavandula) enchants with its silvery-green foliage and spikes of purple, blue, or white flowers. Known for its calming and relaxing fragrance, this delightful plant not only adds visual appeal but also creates a peaceful atmosphere in your home.

Light or shade?

Lavender thrives in bright, direct sunlight. For optimal growth and to encourage blooming, place it in a spot where it can soak up at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight each day. A sunny south-facing window is ideal for this sun-loving plant.

With its upright growth habit and fragrant blooms, lavender is perfect for windowsills, sunny countertops, or as a centerpiece in a well-lit room. It can also be a wonderful addition to a bright kitchen or bathroom, where its aroma can be enjoyed daily. During the summer, consider moving it outdoors to a sunny patio or balcony.

How do I keep it alive?

Lavender prefers well-draining soil, such as a cactus or sandy mix, and should be watered sparingly. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. This plant enjoys warm temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) and prefers low to moderate humidity. Fertilize lightly once in the spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to support blooming.

Did you know?

Native to the Mediterranean region, lavender has been cherished for centuries for its therapeutic properties and is often used in aromatherapy to promote relaxation and reduce stress. While lavender is generally non-toxic, it’s best to keep it out of reach of pets who might be tempted to nibble on its leaves or flowers.

With its soothing scent and elegant blooms, lavender is a perfect addition to any indoor garden, bringing a sense of calm and beauty to your home. Enjoy the tranquility it offers!
